PeaceTags™ honor the past, the present, and the future. PeaceTags™' Beneficiaries
Since 2007, we have made in-kind or monetary donations to over 30 non-profit organizations helping veterans, their families, our communities and our world.
Fisher HouseSupported by the Fisher House Foundation, Fisher Houses, like the one on the grounds of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, WA, have been built to meet the needs of veterans' family members. These "homes away from home" allow America's military families to be together during extended treatment for serious injury, disease or illness. Veterans and newly returning soldiers travel from throughout the nation to receive their care at VA Puget Sound and most come because of the specialized care and treatment offered for complex and traumatic combat injuries, spinal cord injuries, rehabilitation and comprehensive cancer care. Without these remarkable homes, families would have to find hotel accommodations in the community at their own expense.
"As the Manager of the VA Puget Sound Fisher House, I am thrilled that PeaceTags™ has identified the Puget Sound Fisher House as a way of honoring the sacrifice and service of our military veterans. PeaceTags™ is unique in allowing the public a way to say thank you while sharing its mission of peace and community service." ~Cecile Bagrow, Manager
VA Puget Sound Fisher House "It is so fitting that the founder of PeaceTags™, whose family was so deeply touched by VA medical care, would come full circle by reaching out to help bring recognition to Fisher House and the support families will receive. It's a wonderful way to connect community, veterans, family members and the community." ~Jeri Rowe, Director, Public Affairs
VA Puget Sound Health Care System Voices Education ProjectThe Voices Education Project helps people understand and transcend the roots of violence by hearing and giving voice to personal stories. Voices works with veterans, in schools and by offering education workshops and institutes for educators and the general public. Voices acknowledges that conflict is inevitable, but works to envision a world in which nations, communities and individuals move beyond polarization and destruction, instead viewing conflict as an opportunity to create understanding, empathy and positive change. "I am honored and grateful that our work, along with that of Fisher House Foundation, can benefit from PeaceTags™. Both the Voices Education Project and Fisher House Foundation share a mission of healing the wounds of war, honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans, and helping create a more peaceful world. PeaceTags™ point to a future in which our young people can create a more sustainable and moral world." ~Andrew Himes, Founder
